Martin Palmer presents the
Tindall Gask Bentley Lawyers
2012 Drive for Life Golf Challenge
Friday 30th March 2012 at Royal Adelaide Golf Club
On Friday 30th March 2012, Martin Palmer and PARAQUAD SA staged our 7th Annual Tindall Gask Bentley Lawyers Drive for Life Golf Challenge at Royal Adelaide Golf Club. Please click here to see the 2012 official Golf Challenge brochure.
The event was another magnificent success, raising in excess of $37,000 on the day thanks to the 33 teams (see the photo gallery below for the participating teams), 17 clinic participants and 195 lunch guests, who showed their community spirit in the most generous of ways.
The funds raised from the day will go towards PARAQUAD SA's vital Recreation Program.
Thanks to the fantastic work of Andrew Buttery, Dean Hewitson and Martin Palmer - and the generous support of over 50 Australian wine makers - the Great Aussie Wine Lucky Dip again contributed significantly to the total money raised on the day. Please click here to see the 2012 Great Aussie Wine Lucky Dip brochure and wine suppliers.
The hole-in-one for the new Holden Cruze thanks to Hamilton Holden and Police Credit Union failed to go off again this year.
Managing the hole-in-one and a room full of weary golfers is a major task, with Terry McAuliffe again reminding us of why he is one of the best MCs in the business! Terry's interview of Wayne Phillips during the luncheon was gold, and had the guests in stitches the whole time.
The silent auction was again well supported, with guests picking up some real bargains. Please click here for the list of auction items and donors.
Thanks also to the team of Volunteers who helped out, including Martyn Kinsmen and the Police Credit Union Team, and Royal Adelaide Golf Club's friendly staff who looked after us on the day.
And finally, congratulations to the winning Irwin & McCabe Dental Group team - who each won a new golf bag and buggy thanks to the House of Golf.
The date for next year's event is still to be finalised. Please check back in the coming weeks for the confirmation of the date.
During this year’s golf challenge, Channel Nine News followed up a story on bicycle accidents in South Australia, by interviewing Partner at Tindall Gask Bentley Lawyers’ Barney Gask, and PARAQUAD SA Peer Support Advocate based at the Hampstead Spinal Injury Unit, Vicky Machen.
