PARAQUAD SA's 2014 SA Water
Zoo Accessible Adventure Days
Friday 4th to Monday 7th April 2014
PARAQUAD SA was pleased to present our 14th Annual SA Water Accessible Adventure Days at the Adelaide Zoo from Friday 4th to Monday 7th April 2014.
Over 300 people attended the Zoo over the 4 day event, which offered $11.00 entry for people with a disability, free entry for their Carer, a discount for families and friends, free face painting each day and give-aways.
Since it's inception in 2001, close to 11,000 people with a disability and their families and friends have visited Adelaide Zoo thanks to this event. The event was developed by PARAQUAD SA to encourage South Australians with a disability and their family and friends to experience the beauty and excitement of Adelaide Zoo in it's accessible environment.
The event was officially opened during a breakfast for over 80 guests on Friday 4th April, which featured special guest speakers; Peter Stewart (CEO of The Paraplegic and Quadriplegic Association of South Australia), Kerry Rowlands (General Manager, Customer and Community Relations for SA Water) and Tom Whitworth (Zoos SA Volunteer).
This event was proudly supported by SA Water and the Government of South Australia, Andersons Solicitors, HOMECARE PLUS, Adelaide Independent Taxis & Adelaide Access Taxis, 1197am RPH Adelaide, Advantage SA, Deaf Can Do, Quality Catering and Zoos SA.
