Vice Regal Visit to the Corriedale Park Site
On Tuesday, 13th April, the Patron of PARAQUAD SA, His Excellency, Rear Admiral Kevin Scarce AC CSC RANR, the Governor of South Australia, and Mrs. Scarce, visited the site of the new homes at Corriedale Park, which are under construction in Mount Gambier.
Board Member and local identity, Jamie Bignell; Manager Property & Accommodation Services, Heather Hales; Manager HOMECARE+ South East, Krys Howard and the architect for the project, Iain Stewart-Crompton of Chapman Herbert Architectswelcomed His Excellency and Mrs. Scarce to the site.
Iain and Jamie provided a guided tour for the couple and were able to explain and emphasise features that have been incorporated in the 5 wheelchair accessible homes. The Vice Regal couple were suitably impressed and are looking forward to visiting the houses again when they have been completed.
PARAQUAD SA wins major Fundraising Award
On Saturday 20th February 2010, PARAQUAD SA was announced the national winner - Capital Campaigns / Major Gifts (Division A) for The Ramsay Rebuild Project - at the Fundraising Institute of Australia's National Awards for Excellence in Fundraising dinner ath the Adelaide Convention Centre. The Award was presented to PARAQUAD SA's James Kinghorn, Heather Hales, Olivia Boffa, Rebecca Young (on behalf of Alan Moore) and Michael Vickers. This award follows PARAQUAD SA's win in the State FIA Chapter Awards presented in December 2009. This is only the 4th time in the 42 year history of the FIA that the National Division A Award has been won by a South Australian charity. PARAQUAD SA plans to submit our Corriedale Park Project under the same category in the 2010/11 FIA National Awards for Excellence in Fundraising.

Clothing needs for wheelchair users with spinal injury
A research student from the University of Sydney is investigating the key
problems that people who use wheelchairs because of spinal injury have with
clothing. The results of this study will assist in development of clothing that is
aesthetically suited to a seated figure and also meets the functional and medical
